My background is steeped in education and tech: I've taught in the classroom, helped institutions bring digital and distance learning to life, and presented at SXSWEdu. I've designed and developed both traditional and non-traditional higher education curriculum and instruction from the ground up, including a graduate competency-based program.

Currently, I'm innovating the higher education space by overseeing all things curriculum and instruction of Mobile Makers Academy, a bootcamp-style institute bringing adults into the world of mobile software development in only 8 weeks. My free time is spent scheming ways to improve the edtech space, offering professional development to teachers of all walks of like, and communing with other education innovator.

2014 - present

Always interested in improving the field of education, I jumped on board with Mobile Makers Academy (now MobileMakersEdu) to help bring the educational expertise to the adult bootcamp and build a high school program.

I started at Director of Education in 2014 and became CEO in 2015 when the company was sold to Hack Reactor. The high school program blossomed into it's own amazing trajectory that better aligned with the mission of Mobile Makers, so I spearheaded the transaction of Mobile Makers Academy from Hack Reactor to INCubatorEdu, NFP. The team and I folded into INCubatorEdu, renaming the parent company to Uncharted Learning NFP, and switching Mobile Makers Academy to MobileMakersEdu - no longer a stand-alone company but a program within Uncharted Learning.

Now, I'm Director of Program Development (very similar to a Director of Product Development in a traditional company), overseeing the academic integrity, development, and enhancement of five distinct programs: freshINCedu, entrepreneurship for Elementary Schools; mxINCedu, entrepreneurship for Middle Schools; INCuabtorEdu and ACCELeratorEdu, both entrepreneurship for High Schools; and MobielMakersEdu, coding for High Schools.
